Ying Zhang’s Brief Biography

I study statistics and learn best by doing things hands-on. My PhD thesis focuses on influence analysis in Bayesian decision theory, especially how to evaluate the contribution of data to final decisions when multiple sources are involved. Right now, I am very interested in RL post-training for LLMs. This blog is mainly my personal learning notebook: I wrote notes on statistical foundations previously and now gradually add what I learn about the latest LLM advances. Outside of study, I love snowboarding and tennis. I also have a cat named Nikki, who loves food and cuddle time with me.

MBTI at home: I am ISFP, and Nikki is ISTP.
